CQI Workshop to Analyse Students’ CO for Semester I (2018/19) Successfully Ends
12 February 2019, The School of Chemical Engineering has successfully organised a Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) workshop in order to analyse the performance of the students in the past semester (Semester I 2018/2019).
During the workshop, course analysis of all courses offered in the semester was carried out using the online OBE system followed by the presentation of each subject by the respective lecturers.
The workshop also discussed problems associated with the students/subjects as well as the importance of revisiting into the pre-requisite subjects. In general, most of the subjects showed encouraging improvements particularly in the CO achievements.
At the end of the workshop, the School’s management team highlighted to the audience that continuous effort needs to be concerted in improving the fundamental knowledge of the students and information sharing especially for the subjects with pre-requisites.
The team also promised to cut down most of the clerical works of the academic staff by introducing the e-portfolio in the near future. The e-Portfolio will help the academics in terms of data access and assessment of the programme outcome in more effective, systematic and transparent manners.
