PAHANG, 19 Ogos 2018 – Secara rasminya Kejohanan Sukan Staf Antara Universiti Malaysia (SUKUM) Kali Ke-43, 2018 telah melabuhkan tirainya semalam di Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) setelah berkampung selama seminggu bermula 10 Ogos 2018. Seperti ramalan, pasukan berbasikal USM tidak mengecewakan universiti dengan kejayaan membawa pulang pingat emas dan perak bagi acara Lumba Individu MTB (Lelaki Veteran).

Learning from the Expert: Towards Increasing USM’s Chemical Engineering Visibility

20 April 2018 a one-day course on “Creating Your Academic Persona” conducted by the director of USM’s Centre for Development of Academic Excellence and Student Development, CDAE, Professor Abdul Karim Alias has successfully completed.
The course attended by all academic staff from the School of Chemical Engineering introduced the simplest ways of promoting researchers through different platforms of online media.

Researchers from the School of Chemical Engineering, shine in SIRIM Invention, Innovation & Technology Expo (SI2TE 2018)

18 April 2018; three research projects led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suzylawati Ismail are among the 250 projects participated in Si2TE 2018.The work on "Adsorptive Membrane for Quercetin Recovery" has been awarded a Gold Medal for its special formulation and functions in recovery of valuable targeted material from pharmaceutical effluents. Research students involved include Noorlaila Mohamed Nor, Shazlina Abd Hamid and Muhamad Sharafee Shamsudin.

9th March 2018; The School of Chemical Engineering welcomes Professor Datuk Dr. Asma Ismail as part of her scheduled visit to USM’s schools and centres of excellence. Also present were Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Industry & Community Network), Professor Ir. Dr. Abdul Rahman Mohamed, Professor Dr. Phua Kia Kien, Director of the Institutional Development Division, (BPI) and Professor Dr. Lee Keat Teong, Director of Research Management and Creativity Office, (RCMO). Earlier, the Vice-Chancellor visited the School of Material and Mineral Resources Engineering within the Engineering Campus.
