1. Pada 24-26 Oktober 2013, Program PPKK USM "An Engineer To Be : Satu Laluan Kerjaya" bersama pelajar Sekolah Kebangsaan Tengku Mahmud, Terengganu telah berjaya diadakan. Program ini bertujuan untuk menarik minat murid untuk menjadikan Jurutera sebagai kerjaya pilihan masa depan mereka.
2. PPKK USM telah menganjurkan Bengkel "Orang Kelainan Upaya: Tanggungjawab dan Kewajipan" pada 22 Jun 2013 di Kampus Kejuruteraan, USM. Seramai 150 orang peserta dari Pusat Pemulihan Dalam Komuniti (PDK) Nibong Tebal, PDK Puteri Gunung dan PDK Bandar Baru telah mengambil bahagian untuk bengkel tersebut.

November 28, 2013. In an exciting race of overall 13 teams in the 8th Chem-E-Car competition organized by the Chemical Engineering Student Society (ChESS) USM, Pro-Quimicar team has won first prize followed by Crystal Lettuce team and Buckminster Fullerene team in the car performance category. All of the teams stepped up to the challenge this year and has set a very good record in the car competition.

NACES is an annual event for chemical engineering undergraduate students in Malaysia. NACES provides a platform for chemical engineering students to compete, share experiences and opinions on the issues relevant to the chemical engineering world such as environmental and sustainability issues. The theme for NACES 2013 was "Carbon Conundrum : Unraveling The Enigma". A total of 237 delegates from 15 higher educational institutions participated in this event.

Young researchers from the School of Chemical Engineering, Universiti Sains Malaysia, Meor Muhammad Hafiz Shah Buddin, 23 and Muhammad Razif Abdul Razak, 23 bagged two awards; Gold Medal and Diamond Award at the British Invention Show 2013 (BIS 2013).
